NAMCHA, UNHCR discuss IDPs situation

SANAA, July 14 (YPA) – Head of the National Authority for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (NAMCHA) Abdulmohsen Tawoos discussed with UNHCR Deputy Representative discussed the situations of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in light of the ongoing aggression on Yemen.

The meeting touched on aspects of cooperation and coordination between the Authority and the UNHCR alleviate the suffering of displaced people affected by the aggression.

In the meeting, Tawoos expressed his appreciation for UNHCR efforts to assist the displaced and provide their needs during the last period.
He stressed the need to expand areas of cooperation and implementation of activities and projects that meet the actual needs of displaced persons.

For his part, UNHCR official praised the authority’s efforts to facilitate the work and tasks of the UNHCR Office, especially with regard to the displaced as a priority.

He confirmed the keenness of the UNCHR to strengthen the areas of cooperation with NAMCHA to achieve the objectives of humanitarian action and alleviate the suffering of the displaced.
