5 gunmen killed, 10 wounded in tribal clashes in Marib

MARIB, July 13 (YPA) – At least 15 gunmen were killed and injured in clashes broke out between two tribes in Marib province, local sources told Yemen press Agency on Friday.

According to the sources, clashes erupted between “Al Jama’an and al-Jada’an” tribes, leaving 5 people dead and 10 other injured in Majazar district west of Marib province.

The sources pointed out that clashes broke out between the tribes on the backdrop of a case of revenge.

Marib province, which is under control of the Islah party militia, has recently witnessed widespread clashes between tribesmen on the one hand and al-Islah militants on the other over the latter’s attempt to take over on tribal lands.
