Deputy PM calls on UN to release held oil ships, open Sanaa Airport

SANAA, July 9 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Development and Economic Affairs in the National Salvation Government Dr. Hussein Maqboli on Tuesday called on the United Nations to pressure Saudi-led coalition to lift the ban on oil ships held at sea and allow them to enter the port of Hodeidah.

During his visit to the Ministry of Transport and its subsidiary institutions, Dr. Maqboli renewed the call for the United Nations and the international community to open Sanaa International Airport to civilian flights to ease the suffering of patients and their travel abroad for treatment and facilitate the entry of medicines and medical supplies.

Dr. Maqboli was briefed, during the visit, on Ministry’s achievements in the revenues development and the projects it has accomplished in the air, land and sea transport sectors, despite the aggression, siege and economic war imposed on the country.
