SANAA, July 8 (YPA) – A powerful earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale shook the city of Masjed Soleyman in southwest Iran’s Khuzestan province on Monday morning.
The earthquake occurred at 11:30 am local time (0700 GMT) at a depth of 17 km from the surface of the earth, according to the Seismological Center of the Geophysical Institution of Tehran University.
The epicenter was 19 km from Masjed Soleyman, 29 km from Khawaja Castle and 37 km from Itha.
