Israeli forces arrest Palestinian, his father on charge of hitting five soldiers by car

PALESATINE, July 7 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army on Sunday arrested a Palestinian youth and his father for allegedly being involved in hitting operation near the village of Hizma, injuring five soldiers, which were described as moderate to minor wounds.

According to Hebrew media, the young man and his father were arrested after a sweep and examination at a military checkpoint in the area.

They were transferred to the investigation, where the occupation was likely to have a “security” background.

The occupation army said in a statement that after a joint field and intelligence operation of its soldiers the suspect was arrested by a run-off on the soldiers, on Saturday evening, near the village of Hazma.

In his statement, the army claimed that Initial reports said the driver arrived at the checkpoint from the direction of the town of Hizma and returned to the West Bank after hitting the soldiers rather than continuing on into al- Quds.

As a result of the operation, five soldiers were wounded.
