Abida tribes hold Islah’s militias responsible for Marib’s bloody events

MARIB, July 6 (YPA) – Abida tribes of Marib province on Saturday held, in a strongly worded statement, militias of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) responsible for the events and violations that took place in the province last week.

“Islah party’s militias, which control the security services in Marib, had committed grave violations by destroying houses on inhabitants, killing women and children and preventing rescue teams to access wounded and recover dead,” the tribes said in the statement, which Yemen Press Agency obtained a copy of it.

The statement accused Islah militias of working to bring Marib into civil war and disturbing the public tranquility.

The tribes described what the militias did in Al-Ashraf area as “an ethnic cleansing” that has no justification, because it came after an agreement to extradite those who attacked the military point members, which was taken by the militias as a pretext to carry out heinous acts in the province.

Abida tribes warned, In the statement, the Islah party against the continuation in its aggression on Marib tribes, confirming that they would form a military force to defend themselves.
