Hosting “Nicki Minaj” causes uproar in Saudi Arabia

SANAA, July 4 (YPA) – Saudi activists expressed their outrage over announcement of Entertainment Authority, headed by the Chancellor of the royal Court, Turkey al-Sheikh of hosting an American singe, “Nicki Minaj”.

The “Jeddah Season” event is due to host the American singer ” Nicki Minaj” on July 18, 2019.

Activists said the hosting of Minaj is a provocation to the feelings of the Saudis.

Manaj sparked a major controversy after being directed by a great insult to Islam and Muslims in an ancient song.
The song titled “Beam Me Up Scotty” and mockery in one of its passages of Islam, “Asalam Alakum, where the fuck is Akbar”, one of the song lyrics read.

Activists explained that the entertainment authority continues to “decline” and abandon the religious constants and values of the Saudi society.

In the past months, the Saudi Entertainment Authority has started to host foreign singers, which has sparked a wide debate inside the Saudi street.
