Fierce fight erupts between military personnel in Shabwa

SHABWA, July 2 (YPA) – A fierce fight broke out Tuesday between soldiers loyal to Hadi’s government inside the branch of the immigration and passports department in Ataq city of Shabwa province, sources reported.

“A dispute between military personnel was about to cause a massacre inside the department’s branch, because of mediation and congestion for issuing passports,” the sources said.

Citizens’ intervention prevented shooting after weapons were withdrawn from quarreling soldiers, the sources added.

Shabwa is witnessing military tensions after recent clashes between the UAE occupation militias and gunmen loyal to military leader of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
