ADEN, June 26 (YPA) – An Eritrean patrol of Eritrean Navy on Wednesday kidnapped a group of Yemeni fishermen from the island of Hanish and severely beaten them and confiscated their boats, amid silence of the coalition-backed government, according to Yemen Press Agency reporter.
” The Eritrean Navy violated Yemeni sovereignty, stormed the shores of Hanish Island, attacked Yemeni fishermen and arrested many of them under the watchful eye of the Allied Coalition Forces,” the Yemeni press agency reporter in Aden quoted the fishermen as saying.
The incident is part of a series of violations of the rights of fishermen in Yemen and their abduction from Yemeni territorial waters by the occupation forces and the forces of Eritrean amid silence of the exiled Hadi government over the past four years.
