Yemeni drone attack disrupts Saudi airports again

SANAA, June 26 (YPA) – Yemeni army’s spokesman Brigadier Yahya Sarie announced that “the army’s drones carried out on Tuesday a wide-scale operation on Saudi Abha international airport and Jizan regional airport.”

The drones attacks carried out by Qasef-K2 drones targeted warplanes hangars and other military targets in both airport, causing the disruption of air navigation therein, as confirmed by regional air traffic monitoring centers, the spokesman added in a press statement.

“The drone attacks come in response to crimes of Saudi-led aggression coalition and its continuous siege on Yemeni people for the fifth year in a row,” Sarie said.

He reiterated the call for citizens and companies in the Arabian Peninsula to stay away from Saudi airports and military sites as they have become legitimate targets for the Yemeni army until the cessation of aggression and siege.

For their part, air navigation monitoring centers announced the halt of flights coming from the Saudi airports of Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Taif to Abha and Jizan airports following Tuesday’s offensive by Yemeni Qasef-K2 drones.
