Magnitude 5.6 earthquake hits southern California
SANAA, June 23 (YPA) – The US Geological Survey announced on Sunday that a 5.6 magnitude quake was located in southwest California near the Petrolia residential complex in the US state.
The US Geological Survey noted that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 9.4 kilometers in the ground.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The population of Petrolia, located in the province of Humboldt, is estimated at a few hundred and is located 407 kilometers north of San Francisco in a wild area and usually has seismic activity.
