YPC’s employees hold protest in front of UN Office in Sanaa

SANAA, June 21 (YPA) – Employees of Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) on Friday continued their” open sit-in” in front of the UN office in Sana’a for the 77th consecutive day.

They held a protest vigil in front of the United Nations Office in Sanaa, demanding the United Nations to play its role against targeting of the oil company, its facilities and the continued holding of oil ships by Saudi-led coalition.

The participants, including the company’s executive general director, performed Friday prayers in front of the UN Office in the 60th Street.

The protesters confirmed that they would continue their sit-in until the release of all oil vessels held by the aggression coalition.

Protesters also strongly condemned the UN silence, which did not move towards their demands despite the entry of 77th day of their sit-in.

They held the United Nations responsible for any humanitarian disaster that might occur in case of the continuation of holding the oils ships or targeting of the company facilities by the aggression forces.
