Salvation Gov’t welcomes UN mission team return to Hodeidah, renews its adherence to the Sweden agreement
SANAA, June 12 (YPA) – The Council of Ministers held its regular meeting on Tuesday chaired by the prime minister Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor in capital Sanaa.
During the meeting, the council welcomed the return of the UN mission team to Hodeidah province for resuming activities.
It also renewed the commitment of the salvation Government to the agreements of Sweden and its great keenness on the success of the UN efforts led by UN envoy Martin Griffiths towards peace and ending the severe Yemeni tragedy fuelled by the continued aggression, blockade and economic war.
The council expressed its thanks to the United Nations, which sponsors peace in Yemen and its crew, which is bringing the views of the various factions closer to the path of peace.
Foreign Minister briefed the latest of the political developments at the international level related to the Yemeni issue and communication with Member States of the UN Security Council.
He focused on the positive messages of the UN Security Council statement issued on Monday about Yemen and the United Nations-sponsored political process.
The minister further pointed to the return of the UN team to Hodeidah province on Wednesday to exercise its functions in accordance with the Stockholm Accord.
Furthermore, the meeting touched on coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the competent security agencies to facilitate the work of the UN team and to enhance the positive elements of implementing the Agreement, including facilitating provision of necessary needs.
