Saudi army suffers heavy losses in Jizan

JIZAN, June 3 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Monday launched an offensive against Saudi army mercenaries in Jizan region, inflicting heavy losses on them, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack targeted positions of the mercenaries in the east of al-Khuba area, which resulted in many casualties in ranks of the mercenaries, destroying an armored vehicle and seizing various weapons, according to the official.

On Sunday, the Yemeni army’s engineering unit ambushed mercenaries of the Saudi army off Qais Mountain in the same region, which left several dead and wounded in their ranks.
