Oman sends medical assistance to Mahrah

MAHRAH, June 1 (YPA) – An Omani medical convoy has arrived in Mahrah province On Thursday, carrying medical equipment and assistance provided by the Omani charitable organization, local sources told Yemen Press Agency on Friday.

According to local sources, the convoy arrived at Houf Rural hospital, carrying an ambulance and a 500-power generator and a buffer.

It also carries many medical equipment and free medication, one of the sources said.
This assistance comes within the framework of the support provided by the Sultanate of Oman to alleviate the suffering of the citizens after the Saudi-Emirati aggression occupied the province

The local official, Samih al-Wadahi, said that the Omani’s aid would help the citizens, alleviate their suffering and meet some of their needs at Hawf rural Hospital.

He appreciated leadership of the local council in the district Hawf and all sons of Mahrah province for the brothers in the Sultanate of Oman for providing such assistance.

He also thanked Qaboos Bin Said, the Sultan of Oman and all the Omani people, as well as the Omani charitable authority, for helping the local residents in the Hawf district, which reflects the spirit of social solidarity, good-neighborly relations and cooperation between the two brotherly neighbors.

The assistance provided by the Sultanate of Oman to the eastern governorates of Yemen were highly- appreciated by the people of those regions.

Local residents said that the humanitarian support provided by the Sultanate is pure and not followed by military barracks, military materiel and militias, as Saudi Arabia and the UAE are working.

At a time when Muscat sent a shipment of medical aids, devices and equipment to Hawf rural hospital to help treat the citizens, and before that they sent humanitarian aid to Mahrah, Hadramout and Socotra provinces , the Emirates sent a shipment of weapons in a ship to Socotra to arm its militias in the stable and secure Socotra province.
