Yemeni army attacks Saudi sites in Najran

NAJRAN, June 1 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Saturday morning attacked positions of Saudi army and its mercenaries in Najran region, causing heavy casualties to them, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official said that the army units and popular committees carried out an offensive against the Saudi army mercenaries’ positions off al-Sudais site, confirming that several of the mercenaries were killed and wounded in the attack.

The Yemeni army’s artillery pounded on Friday gatherings of Saudi army mercenaries in al-Sawah site, which resulted in several dead and wounded in their ranks.

A 50-caliber machine gun of the Saudi army mercenaries was destroyed by the Yemeni army snipers in al-Hamad site.
