Saudi authorities refer minister in Hadi’s gov’t to investigation

ADEN, May 27 (YPA)- Political sources on Sunday said that Saudi authorities summoned one of ministers of the so-called “Hadi government” to Riyadh to investigate him on the issues of enormous financial corruption cases.

The sources confirmed that Lotfi Basharif, minister of telecommunications and information technology in Hadi’s government arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh, after being summoned for investigation into files and corruption cases since taking office, and after officials had accused him of tampering with financial revenues.

The move came after successive protests carried out by employees of the General Telecommunications Corporation in Aden during the past period.

The protesters accused Basharif of not depositing revenues of “Aden Net” company to the corporation’s account at Aden Bank.
