Yemeni army launches 3 offensives on Saudi military sites in Jizan

JIZAN, May 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by the popular committees on Tuesday carried out three sudden attacks on Saudi military positions and repelled an infiltration attempt the border front of Jizan, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the official, the army units and popular committees launched two offensives against two locations of Saudi army mercenaries east of al-Doud Mountain, which resulted in many dead and wounded in ranks of the mercenaries and seizing quantities of weapons and ammunition.

He noted that a third offensive targeted the Saudi army mercenaries’ sites off Qais Mountain, inflicting casualties and losses in gear on them.

Meanwhile, the army and popular committees repelled an infiltration attempt by the mercenaries towards the same mountain, leaving dead and wounded among the mercenaries.

The official added that the army forces destroyed a PTR military vehicle by a guided missile in Saudi al-Hajla site and burned a military vehicle of the mercenaries off Qambora site, the official said.
