Yemeni army seizes 2 Saudi military sites in Najran

NAJRAN, May 14 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Monday seized two positions of Saudi army in a military operation in Najran region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army units and popular committees attacked the Saudi army mercenaries’ positions in al-Talaa, taking two military positions and seizing quantities of various weapons, the official explained.

The attack resulted in many dead and wounded in ranks of the mercenaries, he added.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni army and popular committees also carried out two attacks on hills and sites of the Saudi army mercenaries off al-Sudais, inflicting heavy losses on the mercenaries.

The missile force of the Yemeni army fired a Zilzal-1 missile on gatherings of the Saudi army mercenaries in Akifa compound, which caused casualties and losses to them.

A military vehicle carrying mercenaries was destroyed by the engineering unit of the army off al-Sudais sites, which led to the killing of its crew.
