General Salami: The US can’t wage war against Iran

SANAA, May 12 (YPA) – Hossein Salami, deputy head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has said on Sunday that the United States of America is “unable and do not have the courage to wage war against Iran,” the Fars News agency reported.

Deputy Head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard participated in a closed-door meeting of the parliament attended by military officials and he also presented a report on his “upcoming programs,” the agency quoted Iranian MP as saying.

According to Iranian MP, Salam indicated that  the US dispatch of the aircraft carrier to the region is a “psychological war that America is seeking to intimidate the people and some military officials from the war.”

“What prevents this (waging war) is the strength of our armed forces on the one hand, and the vulnerabilities of U.S. aircraft carriers on the other, so America will not offer such a risk,” Salami added.
