FM congratulates EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs on Europe Day

SANAA, May 10 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Friday sent a cable of congratulations to High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini on the occasion of Europe Day.

The Foreign Minister appreciated the EU’s principled position, which rejects in any military solution and supports the political solution in Yemen.

Sharaf also praised EU countries’ contribution to providing necessary humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people, who are facing military aggression and all-out siege for the fifth year in a row.

He expressed Yemen’s readiness to strengthen relations with the European Commission and the EU countries in the post-aggression stage.
