Presidency Office’s Director meets Chief of Zakat Authority

SANAA, May 8 (YPA) – Director of the Presidency Office Ahmed Hamed on Wednesday discussed with Chief of the General Authority for Zakat Shamsan Abu Nashtan means of activating and supporting the Authority’s role in light of the continued US- Saudi aggression.

The meeting dealt with the development of the necessary mechanisms for the implementation of the new Zakat law, and the preparation of a comprehensive database for the poor and needy to receive assistance by the authority.

At the meeting, Hamed confirmed that the political leadership is interested in the Zakat Authority and keen to support it to enable it to carry out its tasks.

Hamed also praised the role played by the General Authority for Zakat, calling on the leadership of the Authority to work on developing the work according to the standards and the model principles, in order to meet the aspirations of the beneficiary groups.
