UAE-backed militia kill citizen, injures another in Lahj

LAHJ, May 4 (YPA) – A young man was killed and another injured on Saturday in a random shooting in central of the public market in al-Habilayn city of Lahj province.

A source said that militants of the UAE-backed militia on a military car opened fire in the al-Habilayn market, killing a man named Abdulbari Ali Mohammed and wounding another named Mohammed Arash, and then fled the scene.

The dead and injured were taken to Radfan General Hospital, and the reasons for shooting were not known, he added.

Lahj and all southern provinces of Yemen have been witnessing a state of insecurity and growing crimes of killings and assassinations since they became under control of the Saudi and UAE occupation forces.
