HADRAMOUT, April 4 (YPA) – All flights at Sayoun International Airport in Yemen’s eastern province of Hadramout were suspended and halted on Wednesday, leaving passengers, especially patients, stranded or scrambling for other options, according to local sources.
The workers’ union at the airport went on an entire strike until further notice against the background of financial dues not paid to the staff for long time.
Wednesday’s strike came after a partial strike implemented over the past few days amid false promises by the airport administration, the sources said.
Yemen Airways said it would continue its flights to Aden Airport, seeking to end the strike at Sayoun airport.
