SANAA, May 2 (YPA) – Yemen’s foreign minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah on Thursday said that Saudi-led coalition imposed a collective punishment against the Yemeni people in rejecting to enter ships loaded with oil derivatives and humanitarian aid to Hodeidah port.
During his meeting with the United Nations humanitarian coordinator, Lise Grande, the officials discussed a number of issues related to the deteriorating humanitarian and economic situation in Yemen caused by the Saudi-UAE aggression.
The minister warned the international community of floating oil tank in Safer area of Marib province, which might has resulted to a major environmental disaster threatening the marine environment in southern Red Sea areas.
Sharaf called on the United Nations to pressure on the aggression states to pay salaries of the state’s employees and reopen Sanaa international airport to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Grande affirmed that there are three ships loaded with oil derivatives toward the Hodeidah port after completing the necessary procedures.
