HODEIDAH, May 2 (YPA) -The US-backed Saudi-led aggression forces have on Wednesday abducted more than 150 Yemeni fishermen off the Red Sea port city of Hodeida.
According to the sources, the forces of aggression abducted the fishermen while they were fishing on over 15 boats near the al-Tarfah island.
The aggression forces have targeted the Yemeni fishermen and fishing industry for years, often massacring fishermen both at sea and on land.
Last year’s report of the Ministry of Human Rights indicated that “the aggression forces have killed scores of fishermen, targeted 93 fish stations and destroyed 4,586 fishing boats.”
The Ministry also concluded that the Saudi-led coalition has deprived more than 50,000 fishermen of their fishing income in both the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.
