Saudi arbitrary measures disrupt travelers at Al-Wadiah crossing
HADRAMOUT, May 1 (YPA) – Saudi authorities on Wednesday took sudden arbitrary measures at Al-Wadiah land crossing in Hadramout province, causing disruption and congestion of passengers and public transportation vehicles destined for the Kingdom.
Sources reported that hundreds of Yemeni citizens were left stranded at the crossing and in difficult humanitarian situation because of the delay in the passage of hundreds of vehicles.
Passengers said that “the Saudi authorities at the crossing had taken an emergency decision to prevent dealing with Yemeni passports issued before 2015, although they are issued from areas controlled by the government of Hadi.”
Even those passports issued from Jeddah and Riyadh were not accepted by the crossing authorities for the first time, they added.
The citizens trapped at Al-Wadiah crossing appealed to those concerned officials to intervene quickly to stop these arbitrary actions that harm thousands of Yemenis.
