Mohammed Ali al-Houthi calls on UN, SC to set up mechanism to sell Yemeni oil

SANAA, May 1 (YPA) – The Chairman of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, has called on the United Nations and the Security Council to set a mechanism in place in order to sell Yemeni crude oil, including the floating tank oil.

“The implementation of a mechanism for the export and import of petrol, diesel and domestic gas is essential for the basic needs of our citizens,” Mohamed Ali al-Houthi stated in a tweet  address to the United Nations Security Council.

He called on the United Nations and the Security Council to put a mechanism to sell Yemeni crude oil, and to put revenues of what is being sold to the Central Banks in both Sana’a and Aden, in order to pay employees ‘ salaries within their zone of control.
