President congratulates Yemen’s workers on Int’l Workers’ Day

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – President Mahdi al-Mashat on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to Yemen’s workers on the international Workers’ Day.

“We appreciated the great efforts played by all the workers on their fundamental role in building and developing our country in light of the war and siege imposed by the US-backed Saudi aggression coalition on Yemen,” al-Mashat said in the message.

The president said that the workers are honorable defenders in the frontlines alongside the army and popular forces in defending, developing and construction of the homeland and its sovereignty.

Al-Mashat affirmed that the workers’ steadfastness and patience is a key factor to achieve triumph  despite the siege and systematic economic targeting by the aggression against the Yemeni people and its infrastructure for four years.

On May 1, we remember your struggles, humanitarian suffering in line of the worsening economic situation caused by the aggression against the Yemenis, the president added.

The president condemned the aggressive steps taken by Saudi Arabia against the Yemeni expatriates and committing the human rights,  saluting their high national feeling and loving towards their homeland, Yemen.

“Protecting and building of the homeland are two strong factors don’t separate,  independence and sovereignty are development and building,” al-Mashat affirmed.
