HAJJAH, April 29 (YPA) – Local and security authorities in Hajjah province on Sunday released 272 prisoners of, who have been misleading by the Saudi-led aggression coalition, as well as convicts who have spent three-quarters of their term over criminal cases and those who are indigent in the payment of special rights.
The release process was under auspices of the Supreme Political Council, the Judiciary Council and the cooperation of the local authority in the province.
“The release of the prisoners comes in implementation of the directives of the leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik bin Badr al-Din al-Houthi, in connection with the coming of the holy month of Ramadan,” Hajjah Governor Hilal Abdo Al Sufi said.
He praised all efforts made by the special committees in monitoring the conditions of prisons and prisoners, which were formed under the directives of the political leadership”.
“This is the first batch, and will be followed by another batch in the coming days,” the Sufi added.
He urged the released prospers to “stand by the homeland and defend it against the invaders and their mercenaries and take advantage of the amnesty decision to be good citizens.”
