SANAA, April 28 (YPA) – At least Eight Afghan police officers were killed on Sunday in an attack carried out by Taliban militants on a police station in western Ghor province of Afghanistan, according to local officials.
The Taliban militants took control of the outpost, in the Band Bayan area, for a while after the attack, Deputy Governor of Ghor, Habibullah Radmanish said in a press statement.
Radmanish added that Taliban militants took control over the police station for a while and numbers of militants were killed following the attack.
Five wounded police received a treatment at hospital, according to the head doctor of Ghor Hospital.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack from Taliban movement.
