10 people killed, 30+ children injured in Nigeria
SANAA, April 23 (YPA) – 10 people were killed and more than 30 children were injured when a policeman rammed his car into a group of children attending an Easter celebration in northern Nigeria.
According to News 24, a policeman who was out of service drove his car toward celebrating Easter in the state, killing 10 people, including the policeman and a military volunteer who was accompanying him.
The angry mob attacked the policeman, who was not on his military uniform, as well as a friend who accompanied him and killed them.
The incident also injured 30 children and are currently being treated in hospital while investigations continue.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver drove his car deliberately towards the crowd after a fight around the motorcade that closed the road.
