40 people arrested for bloody explosions in Sri Lanka
SANAA, April 23 (YPA) – The Sri Lankan security authorities have arrested dozens of people accused of the recent bombings and have been placed under investigation Sri Lanka’s state-run News 1 reported.
The channel said that the intelligence arrested 10 people last Sunday after the bombings and completed the search and investigation, which led to the arrest of an additional number of defendants who have been referred to the investigation.
Large explosions rocked on Sunday morning, capital Colombo, hitting 3 churches and 3 hotels.
The Sri Lankan authorities had earlier declared a curfew throughout the country and banned the use of social access sites.
