Shura deplores Sayoun’s meeting, calls for lifting siege

SANAA, April 14 (YPA) – The Shura Council on Sunday deplored the meeting of a number of parliamentarians from those who are in abroad and steered by Saudi-led aggression countries in Sayoun city of Hadrmaout province.

“The meeting of Sayoun called for by an outgoing president aims to legitimize the invasion of Yemen by forces of the Saudi-led aggression coalition,” the Council said in a statement.

The Council called on the parliament’s members, “who have chosen to stand by the aggression, to review their positions towards the war waged by the aggression countries against Yemen for the fifth year in a row.”

In its statement, the Shura Council renewed its demand for stopping the aggression and lifting the siege on land, sea and air ports, stressing that the national sovereignty and the unity of the Yemeni people are key axes for any peace consultations or future dialogues.
