Coalition exploits political talks to escalate militarily: Military source

SANAA, Dec. 6 (YPA) – A military source at the Defense Ministry in Sanaa on Thursday said that Saudi-led coalition is exploiting the political consultations to escalate its military operations in several fronts.

“The enemy did not commit to any calm and continues to escalate militarily on internal fronts and at borders, and targets civil facilities, houses, and farms of citizens in a number of provinces,” the source said.

Responding to the coalition escalation, the Yemeni army carried out several offensives against sites of the coalition militias in several fronts in Jawf and Hodeidah provinces and caused heavy human losses to the militias, according to the source.

The army also fired six Zilzal-1 missiles and artillery shells towards gatherings of Saudi troops and militias at Qais Mountain in the border front of Jizan, the source said.

He confirmed that the army forces are ready to respond any new escalation by carrying out new painful attacks against the enemy.
