Defense Ministry warns coalition of continuing to kill Yemeni people

SANAA, Nov. 24 (YPA) – Ministry of Defense in the National Salvation Government on Saturday warned Saudi-led coalition forces of continuing to kill Yemeni people and obstructing peace efforts.

“Saudi-led aggression forces and their mercenaries have no desire to stop the aggression and achieve a just and honorable peace for Yemenis,” the ministry said in a statement.

The statement pointed out that the coalition continues to launch intensive air raids and to escalate militarily on the border and internal fronts despite the response of the national initiatives to calls for resolution.

“This escalation comes at a time the UN envoy visits Yemen, and reveals “the non-seriousness of the aggression forces in achieving any peace,” the statement said.

In its statement, the ministry referred that the coalition aircrafts on Friday waged 47 raids, of which 25 raids on Saada province, 18 on Hajjah province, 10 on Qais Mount in Jizan region, seven on Hodeidah province and one on Sanaa province.

The raids led to killing and wounding several citizens and caused damage to public and private property, the ministry added.
