2 northern citizens injured in armed attack in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Nov. 3 (YPA) – At least two citizens from northern provinces were seriously wounded on Saturday when unknown gunmen shot at them in Sayoun city of Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

Unknown gunmen opened fire on northern citizens working in construction field in Shahoh area of Sayoun city, which led to the injuring of two, according to Yemen Press Agency reporter.

The two wounded persons were transferred to a hospital in the city, while the gunmen fled the crime scene, he added.

Over the past three years, regionalism calls and harassment against northern citizens have increased in several southern provinces.
