ICRC’s activities in Hodeidah discussed

HODEIDAH, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Director of the Public Health and Population Office in Hodeidah, Abdul Rahman Jarallah, on Sunday discussed with the ICRC’s health coordinator in Yeme, Elizabeth Avril, the activities and interventions of the Committee in the health sector in the province.

In the meeting, the officials reviewed the needs of the health sector in Hodeidah, especially in the areas of confrontations and nearby.

The meeting stressed the importance of the medical supply of facilities and health centers in the areas of confrontation, and provide surgical teams in those facilities with the adoption of financial incentives for the working teams.

The meeting discussed the possibility of training health personnel working in health facilities and the health sector in order to qualify them to do their part better during the reception and treatment of injuries resulting from disasters and emergency accidents.
