UN High Commissioner for Human Rights calls for lifting immunity of Saudi diplomats

SANAA, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Th United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet called on Wednesday in a statement for the immediate lifting of the immunity of Saudi diplomats in Turkey to facilitate investigation into the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Bachelet also demanded that Saudi Arabia and Turkey disclose all information on the disappearance and possible death of the Saudi journalist.

The move came after nearly two weeks ago of Khashoggi’s disappearance .

She called on the authorities in both countries to ensure “no further obstacles to an immediate, comprehensive, impartial and transparent investigation in the issue.”
