Blast kills election candidate in Afghanistan

SANAA, Oct. 17 (YPA) – A candidate was killed, and seven others people  were injured on Wednesday in a blast in the southern province of Helmand, officials said,

“The MP Abdul Jabar Qahraman was killed and seven people were injured in the blast,” an official at the state governor’s media office told news agencies.

The bomb was planted under his office chair and went off moments after PM arrived at his campaign office, the official added.

Another 22 people were killed and two others were arrested at an election rally in others arrested in a Taliban attack in the western Farah province, an official said last Sunday.
