Saudi Arabia seeks to hold talks with Spain over halting selling Laser-guided bombs

SANAA, Sept.11 (YPA) – After Spanish Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that it would stop selling Laser-guided bombs to Saudi Arabia amid concerns that these bombs are being used to kill civilians in Yemen. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia returned to seek the deal through talks between the two countries.

Spain on Monday said that it would hold talks with Saudi Arabia on the sale of 400 laser-guided bombs to the kingdom after it confirmed last week that it would stop the deal because of Saudi Arabia’s role in the war on Yemen.

Defense Minister Margarita Robles told senators that “the decisions will be taken according to the bilateral framework between the two countries that signed the contract and will resolve it amicably”, Reuters reported.
