Yemen army liberates strategic area in western coast

WESTERN COAST, Aug. 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni army and popular committees on Wednesday launched an offensive on the positions of the coalition backed militia in Yemen’s west coast, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack targeted the militia’s positions at Jableiah area of the western coast, killing and injuring dozens of them, the official said.

The official confirmed that the army forces were able to liberate and secure several sites including Jableiah market, in addition to seizing large quantity of weapons and equipment.

Dozens of the coalition-backed militias were killed and injured over the past 24 hours, the official added.
