UN invents Supreme Political Council, Hadi government to Sept 6 peace talks

SANAA, Aug. 17 (YPA) – The United Nations has invited the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa and the coalition-backed Hadi government to participate in the Geneva peace talks, which were called by UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, on September 6, UN spokeswoman, Alessandra Vellucci,said on Friday.

This came during a press conference held by Vellucci at the United Nations headquarters in New York, without mentioning any other parties that were aspiring to representation in the upcoming Geneva negotiations.
