Dozens killed in fiercest confrontations south of Marib city

MARIB, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Violent battles between Sanaa government forces and Saudi-led coalition backed by al-Qaeda members continued on Monday in south of Marib city, killing and wounding dozens of both sides.

According to sources, the violent confrontations happened in “Al-Faliha” area, south of the city, which the army forces were able to advance towards the positions of the coalition forces.

This comes hours after the coalition forces launched a failed military attack towards the positions of the Sanaa forces, in “Umm Rubeish” desert, in an attempt to restore the “Al-Khishina” camp.

Meantime, the coalition fighters continued to launch strikes on a number of confrontational areas south and west of the city of Marib, in an attempt to stop the advance of Sanaa forces towards the city center.
