ISLAMABAD, Nov. 28 (YPA) – Two Pakistani army soldiers were killed on Saturday in an attack on a military post in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, The Pakistani army said in a statement.
According to the statement the two soldiers were killed in a heavy exchange of fire with gunmen who attacked the military post in Data Khel town in North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The army has begun combing the area in chasing for the perpetrators, the statement said, according to the Associated Press.
The Pakistani army indicated that the forces had responded with all available means and the militants had suffered heavy losses.
The attack comes days after two Pakistani security personnel were killed in an armed attack in the southwestern province of Balochistan.
