Hamdok: An investigation has been launched into violations against protesters since October 25th

KHARTUM, Nov. 24 (YPA) – Sudanese Prime Minister Abdulla Hamdok said that an investigation has been launched into abuses committed against protesters since the military seizure of power on October 25.

Hamdok was quoted by the official Sudan News Agency as saying in a meeting with members of the central council leading opposition Freedom and Change Forces that an investigation had been opened into violations of protesters since October 25th, in which 41 people had been killed.

On November 21, Sudan’s sovereignty council chairperson Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Prime Minister Abdulla Hamdok signed a new political agreement requiring Hamdok to return to office, nearly a month after his dismissal .
