Happy Child Foundation: Ongoing war negatively affects Yemen children

SANAA, Nov. 23 (YPA) – Head of the Happy Child Developmental Foundation, Zina Dhaifallah, said that the continuation of the war and the deterioration of the economic and developmental living situation have negatively affected children in Yemen.

Dhaifallah affirmed in a statement that the continued war for nearly 7 years has increased the psychological pressure on Yemeni children, which have led to a humanitarian catastrophe at the regional and international levels.

She called on international organizations in Yemen to work on the development of childhood away from the monotony of administrative and technical procedures in order to implement qualitative and sustainable development activities and projects that meet the aspirations of Yemeni children.

Dhaifallah explained that one of the priorities of childhood rights in Yemen is the quality education, especially related to happiness, to alleviate the psychological pressures that children suffer due to the war.

She said her Foundation aims for the actual and serious development of Yemeni children, and to participate in the implementation, to consolidate positive values and principles for the advancement and upgrading of the country.
