Islah Party deploys militants on environs of Marib city

MARIB, Oct. 30 (YPA) – The Saudi- Islah authorities deployed on Saturday their gunmen and in the streets and surroundings of the city of Marib.

According to local sources, the Saudi-led coalition has created a number of security and military points in the city’s streets, in addition to placing concrete barriers and digging trenches in the vicinity of the city.

The sources, the Yemeni army forces have headed to clear the mountain ranges in the areas of Budaiya, Al-Amud and Al-Balaq Al-Awsat, amid advances to break the last lines of the coalition’s defense, and cut off its supply in a number of areas south of the city.

The army forces have imposed their control over 12 districts of the densely populated Marib province, and are heading now to liberate the city and Wadi districts, which are still under the control of Islah and Al-Qaeda elements backed by the coalition.

The coalition forces turned the camps of the displaced people into military barracks, making them human shields in anticipation of the battle of the city of Marib.
