Clashes break out between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinians in Bethlehem

WEST BANK, Oct. 17 (YPA) – Clashes broke out between Israeli occupation forces and Palestinians early Sunday in the Dheisheh refugee camp southeast of Bethlehem, in West bank.

Palestinians threw stones, empty bottles and a number of incendiary stones, while Israeli occupation soldiers responded by firing heavy rubber bullets and tear gas canisters.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli soldiers deliberately targeted the homes of Palestinian citizens by firing gas bombs, causing a number of citizens to suffocate.

During the break-in, a freed prisoner released last August was arrested after serving his two-and-a-half-year sentence and more than five years earlier. The occupying forces also stormed several positions in the province.
