Update: Army forces take control over center of Al-Abdiyah district in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 15 (YPA) – Yemeni army, backed by popular committees have taken control over  the center of Al-Abdiyah district, south Marib province.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on testimony of tribal sources,.

Tribal sources said hundreds of Hadi and Islah forces surrendered after  the army forces imposed the siege on their positions.

Moreover, the army forces have penetrated into the areas of Al-Abdiyah district despite intensive airstrikes launched by  coalition warplanes , the sources said.

Many of these forces were killed and wounded, including  the colonel Abdul Raqib al-Naqash, the most prominent military commander in Hadi’s forces in Al-Abdiyah district.
